This little fellow brought a tear to my eye as he fluttered about slowly. It almost seemed like he was posing . Like he knew he was not the perfect specimen that most of us seek to shoot . There was beauty even though he was not perfect he was a gift. Thank you Mr. Butterfly!

What is it about these wondrous creatures that when I see them I feel like I've entered into another dimension. Could it be that they look like aliens? At the end of last summer I had an encounter. I was able to grab my camera and take some pictures. At that time I did not have a blog so I decided to feature him today. A recall as a little girl I wasn't exactly thrilled by the sight of certain little insects yet when I saw one of these guys I could just watch them and be swept away. If anyone would like to share about their Praying mantis stories I'd love to hear them. That same day I also met up with a beautiful Monarch butterfly who was posing for me on my very favorite butterfly bush. One day perhaps I might choose one of these insects to use as inspiration for my artwork.... ( depending on my mood that day)...HMMMMM
